new year....ramblings

today, the Storey family all gathered & went to Sunday School & church. Since my groom decided to attend church (thank you Lord!) last year, we've only been going to church in the AM, and I've been waiting for my groom to want to make the move & do both...this Sunday was that day!

today's messages were about giving your all, and about having a heart like Christ......how He reached out to those, not because they were worthy (we are none of us worthy), but because he had sympathy for others, and love for others.

they sang a song about what kind of friend are we to Jesus and it really had me thinking about how I could become an even better friend to Jesus by being even better to others.......

gaining fresh perspective...and how to develop the right perspective...
Look at the sky (Psalm 19:1-6)
remember that every star in the sky was placed by the hand of God and every cloud in the sky is blown by His breath.

look in your heart
(Psalm 19:12-14)
The Psalmist makes a declaration to God thathe wants the words of his mouth and the meditation of his heart to be acceptable to God.

everywhere you look you'll find people trying to share their secrets to live. We can find the right perspective by looking towards Him & readhing HIS word.

connect with yourself
Live is bigger than what we do or what we accomplish. Life is to be lived to glorify the Father. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day demands of life and forget that we have been created for more. Take a bigger look at our lives, step back from the everyday schedule and look around...look how God uses what is around you to remind you of who HE is. Then, look inside yourself. How are you using all that God has given you to glorify Him and make Him known? God has created you to be a shinning demonstration of His glory. Begin living in all that you are today
